Colette Murphy is the Executive Director of the Atkinson Charitable Foundation. 

The discussion will explore:

  • How Foundations are working in new ways with communities to address tough issues and catalyze social change
  • Stories from the Atkinson Foundation in the areas of early learning and decent work focused on shifting policies and systems
  • Promising practices that are supporting individuals, organizations and networks to "think and act" differently to accelerate change

Presenter's Bio

Colette Murphy is the Executive Director of the Atkinson Charitable Foundation. Prior to joining Atkinson in 2012, Colette held leadership positions with the George Cedric Metcalf Charitable Foundation and United Way Toronto. She began her career working in refugee resettlement with COSTI Immigrant Services. Colette has been a member of the Ontario Government’s Social Assistance Review Advisory Council and with Metrolinx’s Big Move 2.0 Project Advisory Committee. She is currently a board member at the Wellesley Institute and a member of Legal Aid Ontario’s Clinic Law Advisory Committee.
