If the $50 million lotto jackpot falls into the lap of your board chair or executive director tonight, what would happen? Do you have a succession plan that would kick in to ensure the organization’s governance, programs and revenue generation carried on effectively? At this participatory session, you will learn how to successfully plan, prepare and implement leadership succession—even in grassroots organizations with no senior staff who could step directly into the Executive Director role and perhaps no board candidate pool. The content is aimed at paid and volunteer leaders who want their organizations to build on their legacy and carry on strongly. Participants will receive a number of templates, plus an understanding how a good approach can result in plans that are reassuring to both incumbents and candidates.
